Sustainable Newport has a long history of learning and following best practice from the United Nations – from following Agenda21 when we were Newport21 to looking for ways to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (also known as the “Worlds to do list“) as Sustainable Newport.
We’ve listed the 17 Sustainable Development Goals listed below, and over the remainder of this decade of action up to 2030, we’ve picked three to focus on where we think we can, or can partner to, make a difference:
- 12- Responsible consumption and production;
- 13-Climate Action; and
- 15-Life on Land.
All of our work is also underpinned by 17-Partnership for the Goals. We’ve highlighted some other schemes and local partners whose work also aligns with the Goals
